NEW - Financial Counseling Benefit

We are excited to announce a new Financial Counseling Benefit for all Members.  Below is information about the program.  We will also have a webinar on April 7th at 4:30pm to introduce this new benefit, please click here to register if you have not done so yet. 

The Financial Counseling Program (FCP) provides you with a personal financial planner to review your finances, to help answer your financial questions and assist you with the development of a financial strategy. There is no out of pocket cost to you-- the program is paid for by the Trust.

Stacey Braun Associates, Inc. administers the program and is one of the 500 largest investment advisors in the world. Stacey Braun’s representatives are PROHIBITED from selling investment and insurance products and are not affiliated with any of our 403(b) providers.

Every member is entitled to six hours of time a year for a financial consultation and follow up.  Private, individual consultations are held via web conference, phone, at union office or Stacey Braun’s office. DCAS REVISED COMMISSIONER’S DIRECTIVE NO. 2020-1 CONCERNING THE SAFETY PRACTICES OF PERSONNEL DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS

DCAS issued a revised Commissioner’s Directive No. 2020-1 concerning the safety practices of personnel during the Covid-19 Crisis effective 3/7/22. This directive revises the use and wearing of face coverings in the workplace as a result of the advise by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the New York State Department of Health that people can resume activities without wearing a face covering or being physically distanced, except where otherwise required. Labor Unions File Temporary Restraining Order Against NYC To Stop Termination Of Employees

On 2/10/22, UPOA and other unions filed an Order To Show Cause For A Temporary Restraining Order And Preliminary Injunction in NY Supreme Court in order to stop the termination of certain employees. The Honorable Judge Judy Kim’s Interim Order denied the request for a  temporary restraining order (TRO) and set a return date to appear in Court on March 1, 2022 at 11 a.m.   

 

DCAS Issues Updated Leave Guidance for Covid - 19

Effective 1/26/22, DCAS has issued an Updated Guidance for City Agencies on Leave Policy Applicable During the Outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). This document sets forth City leave policy with respect to City employees to mitigate the risk of the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). It is effective January 26, 2022 and until further notice, and supersedes the December 29, 2021 guidance.
