UPOA IS Back Outside - JOIN US AT THE LABOR DAY PARADE

UPOA has returned to participating in outside activities. On May 22, 2022, UPOA kicked off its outdoor activity with marching in the Israeli Day Parade. On 6/12/2022, UPOA marched in the 65th National Puerto Rican Day Parade and on June 15, 2022 UPOA showed up and showed out at the DC37 Contract Now Rally.

We have now honored to walk with Attorney General Letitia James in the Labor Day Parade on Saturday September 10, 2022. We need to show up with our Probation Matters t-shirts and march proudly for all to see and take notice. Please click on the link to register and obtain details for the 2022 NYC Labor Day Parade

Zoom General Membership Meeting 6-29-22 Video is Now Available

There was a Zoom General Membership Meeting on Wednesday 6/29/22 and NYC Council Member (and District 10 Congressional Candidate) Carlina Rivera addressed the membership on her platform as well as provided suggestions on how UPOA can accomplish some of our goals on improving salaries and other issues affecting our members. ATTENTION - UPOA IS OUTSIDE AGAIN - We participated in the Israel Parade on Sunday May 22 2022. Our next event is The National Day Puerto Rican Day Parade on Sunday June 12, 2022 and then and the African Day Parade if they decide to be in person.

If you are interested in participating in the events, notify your UPOA delegate or Executive Board member. Space is limited for example the Puerto Rican Day parade will only 50 people. Once we reach capacity that’s it. For all events we will wear our Probation Officers MATTERS t shirts.

We are a union of inclusiveness. As the City is starting to open up there will be parades throughout the city celebrating our different cultures and the freedom to love . With that said we ask you join us in the Israel Parade Sunday  May 22 2022 . We will gather at 10 am at 56th and 5th Avenue , Manhattan. We ask that all participants wear your Probation Officers MATTERS T- Shirts.

 

We also will need to know how many of you are going to participate in the Puerto Rican Day Parade   Sunday June 12 2022 and LGBGTQ parade Sunday June 26 2022? Please see your executive representative in your borough to sign up
